As usual, we do not just settle at the traditions. We try to create something new. To make it unexpected, we design this wedding card in a totally different manner. Instead of using traditional color such as red and gold, we use a silvery paper. It is just a normal silvery color paper stock. The quality of it is different. The texture of it is so shiny that it is just like a mirror. The reflectiveness of the card is the spirit of the design. All about Texture
So, the question here is how to combine features of Chinese designs into this material. We have chosen double happiness as the main graphic element. Again, we do not just print it on the card with ink. We want some raised effect or texture. As a result, the double happiness symbol is embossed on the cover. It is raised on the cover. Besides, we also put some stunning paper cutting patterns on the card. However, the paper cutting patterns are printed with silver foil on the surface of the cover. This treatment creates two different layers of silvery reflectiveness. The foil is considered more “shiny” than the paper. This will make the double happiness and paper cutting pattern standout on the design. Basically, there is only one color you can see in this design. It is the mirror-like silvery color. With two types of shininess and the embossed effect, a design with various “Chinese” textures is created.
