The main feature of this design is a charming pink color with Chinese traditional paper cutting of Phoenix pattern. Chinese calligraphy of the family names of bride and groom are also presented on the cover of this Chinese wedding invitation. The combination of the color, paper cutting pattern and Chinese words (characters) leads to this exceptional design. When you open the card, you will see the enlarged phoenix pattern. This is to create focal points in various scales of the same design element.
An Exceptional Invitation With Phoenix Patterns
Without any surprise, the Phoenix is meant to be a blessing to both the bride and the groom. Even we ourselves use this element from time to time when designing our wedding invitations. However, this is only one part of this particular design. The family names of the couple are also printed on the cover of this Chinese wedding invitation. Besides the family names, the two words “聯婚”, which mean hosting the wedding ceremony / reception together, are also printed on the cover. The four Chinese characters on the cover mean that the two families, or the couple, are going to host the wedding together.
Usually, a Chinese wedding card is red in color. In this particular design, the pink color, which can be considered a variation of red, is chosen instead. The main idea is to create a tone which is slightly different from a totally traditional Chinese design. Inside the card, the four Chinese characters on the cover appear again. However, it is in the form of a Chinese chop. For this chop, we have made it more traditional. We have used a very traditional, or you can say ancient, font. The color of the chop is really red here. This will give another Chinese touch to the design. As mentioned, the Phoenix paper cutting pattern is printed once again inside the card. Of course, this is an enlarged one. This printed pattern becomes a very stunning background of the card.

*It is not recommended to print the wording directly on the paper cutting pattern inside the card as it will make the wording difficult to read. As you can see, the place for printing wording is without paper cutting pattern printed. As a result, if you would like to have a bilingual invitation, we may have to remove the paper cutting pattern inside the card. Another way is to go for Option 2 mentioned above. You can print both languages on the insert.
